WEATHER ALERT: SEVERE STORMS AHEAD

Gemma and Hallie's world has come to a screeching halt. Their parents are engaged, which makes them step-sisters. Nothing in the world could possibly be worse for Gemma and Hallie--they won't let it happen. Even if it means putting their own feud aside to separate their parents.

Events quickly escalate as a hurricane rips through the Hamptons leaving everyone (including Gemma's two exes, her current crush, best friend, and her nemesis) bottled up in one house. One big, miserable group of exes and enemies together allow secrets to unfold and plans to be plotted. The calm before this storm definitely doesn't exist.

Katie Finn pulls out all the stops for this fast-paced, dramatic conclusion in the Broken Hearts and Revenge series. (Goodreads)

I'm SO excited for this book to be released!!
I'm dying to see what's coming next for Gemma and Hallie.
If it's anything like the first two books in the series, I'm sure it's going to be awesome!

The war rages on between Gemma and Hallie in the second installment of the Broken Hearts and Revenge series.

After the humiliating events on the 4th of July, Gemma's trying to handle the fact that Hallie knew who she was all along, and she was the one who stole Teddy from her. Gemma vows revenge, but things get more complicated than she planned. Ford, Gemma’s long-time crush, has arrived in the Hamptons cuter than ever. Josh is refusing to speak to her after she lied to him, and Teddy is playing champion to his beloved Marsh Warbler (in Gemma's backyard, no less).

Gemma and Hallie find themselves locked in an escalating revenge cycle. Just when Gemma thinks she has the upper hand, the biggest bombshell of all is dropped. And it’s one that threatens to change her life forever. This exciting sequel to Broken Hearts, Fences, and Other Things To Mend will leave you begging for the third installment. (Goodreads)
I started Revenge, Ice Cream, and Other Things Best Served Cold by Katie Finn just moments after finishing Broken Hearts, Fences, and Other Things To Mend. I went into this book not really knowing what to expect, I was worried that this book wouldn’t be able to top all the drama that happened in the first book. Boy was I wrong!! If possible, this book has even more drama in it, and it only gets better than better. These books are perfect summer reads!!

If you’ve not read the first book in this series, stop here. This does contain some information that is from the first book!

Revenge, Ice Cream, and Other Things Best Served picks up right where the previous book leaves off. Gemma now knows that Hallie knew who she was the whole time, and Hallie thinks that she has finally won. That, of course, is not the case at all. The story is filled with Gemma and Hallie antics, some that you will find pretty funny, and some that are just way too cruel.

In the first book we were introduced to Josh, who was the love interest for Gemma in the story. In this book, we are introduced to Ford, and I just love him so much! I’m not used to changing teams halfway through a series, but I really love Ford, and some things that happen with Josh that make me kind of feel like he’s not exactly what I thought he was in the first book, and that was a total turn-off.

As I mentioned in my review of the first book, these books are like watching a train wreck. You want to look away, but you just can’t do it! I read this book in just a few hours time, and now I need the next book in my hands ASAP. Especially where this book leaves off, I’m dying to know what’s going to happen with Gemma, Hallie and the rest of the crew.

Overall; Revenge, Ice Cream, and Other Things Best Served Cold was an excellent addition to the Broken Hearts & Revenge series. If you like lots of drama, you’re definitely going to enjoy Broken Hearts, Fences, and Other Things To Mend & Revenge, Ice Cream, and Other Things Best Served Cold. Now that I’m all caught up, I will be impatiently waiting to get my hands on the third book in the series. Check these out!!

Hot sun. Blue waves. New romances. Old secrets.

Gemma had her summer all planned out, but it takes a sharp turn when she gets dumped and finds herself back in the Hamptons after a five-year absence.

Being there puts her at risk of bumping into Hallie, her former best friends (that is, before Gemma ruined her life). But people don't hold grudges forever. Do they?

Gemma intends on making amends, but a small case of mistaken identity causes the people she knew years ago—including Hallie and her dreamy brother, Josh—to believe she's someone else. As though the summer wasn't complicated enough already.

Filled with summer sun, boys, and friendships gone sour, Katie Finn's first novel in the Broken Hearts and Revenge series sizzles and delights.

I’ve had Broken Hearts, Fences and Other Things to Mend by Katie Finn on my to-read list for quite some time now, just waiting for me to read it. Now that I’ve finally found time to read it, I’m kicking myself for having waited so long! This book was full of drama and is a perfect read to pass the time. I can’t wait to read the second book now!

Gemma did some pretty horrible things to her best friend, Hallie, when she was eleven years old, and she’s regretted doing them every since. When Gemma is sent to stay with her dad in the Hamptons for the summer, Gemma thinks she’s going to have a fun summer being lazy at the beach. What she doesn’t expect is to see Hallie again, five years later. But when Hallie mistakes her for someone else, Gemma takes it as the perfect opportunity to make amends for the things she did before. Unfortunately, things don’t go quite as expected.

Gemma was a pretty interesting character. She was likeable, but a bit naïve. I was actually pretty shocked to read all the things that she did when she was eleven, and some of the things she did throughout the story were pretty shocking as well. This goes for Hallie too, she was super mean. There are SO many lies in this story; I don’t know how they kept them straight for so long.

This is one of those really great books to read in the summertime. It’s full of drama and suspense, it’s like watching a train wreck; you just can’t seem to look away. Also, it’s super rare when a book makes me feel uncomfortable, and this book totally did. Not in a bad way, but in that sick to your stomach, I totally can’t believe that happened kind of way. It’s intense!

Overall; Broken Hearts, Fences and Other Things to Mend was a highly addictive read. I could not put it down. Now that I’ve finished it, I can’t wait to start Revenge, Ice Cream and Other Things Best Served Cold, which luckily, I can start right away. I’m ready, bring on even more drama!!
