Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Goals/Resolutions For 2014

January 7th 2014 :
Top Ten Goals/Resolutions For 2014

1. Read More! - Last year was crazy, and I didn't get to read as much as I wanted to, unfortunately. This year, I'm going to try to read a lot more. I have SO many books that I've bought that are just sitting on my shelf, waiting for me to read them. This is my #1 goal this year!

2. Review Books - I have so many books to review from Netgalley and Edelweiss, it's insane. I HAVE to get through them all this year. It's driving me crazy!

3. Blog More. My blog is another place that I have been slacking in lately. (Not by choice!) I'm going to try to keep things going this year. It would be a lot easier for me if I could actually get caught up!

4. Tweet More.  I love Twitter. It's my most favorite form of social media. I just need to actually start using it more. I feel like I miss out on SO much information! Granted, I do have a one track mind and the attention span of a gnat. So while I love Twitter, it's hard to keep up!

5. Read Harry Potter. - I've read the first four books in the series, then I got busy with other books and life in general. I want to finish the series this year, but I want to start over from the beginning. I need to watch all the movies too!

6. Visit More Blogs. I used to visit book blogs ALL the time. Unfortunately, a lot of my faves have stopped updating, so now I need to find new blogs to follow. I love book blogs!

7. Be Organized. This is a MUST for me. I have the hardest time keeping up with stuff, especially blog related stuff. Making lists usually help, but since I'm a visual person, those lists don't help unless I actually see them. haha! Got to work on that.

8. Use Facebook.  I hate Facebook. I really do. If confuses the heck out of my, especially the fan pages. But I know that a lot of people still use it. So I'm attempting to actually update my page more. haha!

9. Stress Less.  This is something I desperately need to work on. I feel overwhelmed a lot, and have a lot of stress on me a lot of the time. It's definitely something I need to work on!

10. Get Healthy. I'm in the process of working out and eating better. I'm doing this because I'm tired of feeling worn out all the time. That's something that greatly affects my reading time. (Have you ever been too tired to read???) I really want to stick with this goal this year, not only to lose some weight, but to also have more energy!

That's my list of goals and resolutions for 2014!

What's on your Top Ten list this week?

  1. I get so clicker happy with EW and NG too. Visiting other blogs is definitely one of my resolutions/goals too. I feel like there's just so many blogs but I never visit enough.

  2. GET HEALTHY! Yes! I'm with you on this one. I've got no energy and it sucks. I definitely need a HP reread -- I haven't touched the books since I read them the first time. Excellent goals!

  3. I see loads of 'healthy' resolutions, and I should really stick to one as well, but it usually fails.
I hope to read more this year, too. I manage more and more each year! :)
    Happy reading!

  4. I need to get more organized at blogging too, maybe pre-schedule more posts, so it isn't so stressful. I also want to get better at using social media. I hope you'll love Harry Potter, I'm a big fan of this series and I'll be re-reading it in 2014. Good luck!

  5. We have similar goals, like stress less *hangs head*. Healthy resolutions is very common and I hope to stick to that one as well. I was thrilled that I wasn't the only non-Harry Potter reader left, but I see that you read the first four, so you're ahead of me there ;) Good luck!

  7. Ahh, I don't even wanna here about book blogs stopping with their updates!! I don't EVER want to stop posting on the blog and I don't want any of the blogs I follow to stop, either! Okay, I might be a little childish in that department...anyway, I love that you want to check out new blogs - I love finding new ones to follow, too!

  8. Great list! As a mom to 1-year old I can perfectly relate to your goal of being organized and finding the time to read, review, maintain the blog and FB page :) Good luck with you non-bookish resolutions!

  11. I'm usually pretty good with Netgalley, then I'll request or download 4 or 5 of the Read Now ones all at once. Then I get overwhelmed!

  12. That's a great list. And yes, I have been (at times) too tired to read. Being good to your body is a good way to help fight that, but it's also good to sometimes take a break and get in those extra hours. Best of luck with all of your goals!

  13. *claps* FAB goals, Christy! Ours are similar in some ways. I'm right there with you on getting healthier though! Good luck on everything, especially those review copies.

  15. I love this list so much because I agree to it all, minus the Facebook part since I already do that. And it really is a great tool. If you like, take a gander at what I've got for my page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Books-Tea-Me/271390859593661?bookmark_t=page It's a great way to reach out to a bunch of people and I like it way more than using Twitter for posting blog-related stuff.
Good luck with your goals -- I'm sure you'll make them happen :)

  16. I haven't seen the last Harry Potter movie :(
And, wow, I don't like facebook either, I can never get used to it. Facebook looks real complicated to me.
Thanks for stopping by my Top 10 list.
