This week I am cover crazy about...
Starcrossed
Josephine Angelini
This cover is just gorgeous! I can't stop looking at it. The girl, the dress blowing in the wind, (love the purple!), the stormy clouds in the sky, and the water. I just love it.

The cover says, "A gorgeous, haunting saga." -Lauren Kate. The cover looks haunting to me!

I was lucky enough to receive the ARC from Netgalley and HarperTeen for this book last week, and I'm itching to start it!

What book are you cover crazy for this week?? Leave a link so I can see what you like!

Sunday Confessions: Are you a Moody Reader?

"Sunday Confessions is a weekly meme started by Marcie at To Read or Not to Read, as a way to get to share a bit about herself and also learning more about me and you. Sometimes its about books and book related topics and sometimes it's not. This is all in good fun and I would love it if you would participate.

"This week's question:
Are you a moody reader?

I don't think I'm a moody reader... I'm usually really good at reading whatever. I love hearing about a new book, and just HAVING to have it. Sometimes I get moody until I get said book. Does that count? :o)~

Are you a moody reader? Leave a comment with a link to your post!

This week I have on my wishlist...

Demonglass (Hex Hall #2)
Author: Rachel Hawkins
Pub. Date: March 1, 2011
Publisher: Hyperion Books
Pages: 368
Age Range: Young Adult

Goodreads:
Sophie Mercer thought she was a witch. That was the whole reason she was sent to Hex Hall, a reform school for delinquent Prodigium (aka witches, shapeshifters, and fairies). But that was before she discovered the family secret, and that her hot crush, Archer Cross, is an agent for The Eye, a group bent on wiping Prodigium off the face of the earth.

Turns out, Sophie’s a demon, one of only two in the world—the other being her father. What’s worse, she has powers that threaten the lives of everyone she loves. Which is precisely why Sophie decides she must go to London for the Removal, a dangerous procedure that will destroy her powers.

But once Sophie arrives she makes a shocking discovery. Her new friends? They’re demons too. Meaning someone is raising them in secret with creepy plans to use their powers, and probably not for good. Meanwhile, The Eye is set on hunting Sophie down, and they’re using Archer to do it. But it’s not like she has feelings for him anymore. Does she?

I cannot wait to read this book! I finished Hex Hall last week, (which I LOVED!), and I'm anxious to see what's going to happen in Demonglass!!
What's On Your Wishlist today??? Leave a comment with your link, and I'll follow you back! :)

Follow Friday (3)/ Book Blogger Hop (2)

Follow Friday!
TGIF!!! Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee. This weeks question is:

Q. Share your current fav television show! Tell us a bit about it...

I don't watch much TV anymore, but my favorite show is definitely:

I LOVE Glee! I just can't get enough of it. The people, the drama, the singing... I love that sometimes their version of the song sounds better than the original!

Book Blogger Hop!!

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Crazy-For-Books.com. It's a great way to meet new people and friends around the blogworld!

Today's question is:
"Do you ever wish you would have named your blog something different?"

Sometimes, yes I do. I wish I was creative enough to come up with a really awesome name, but I'm not. My business name is BusyBee, so I thought ReaderBee would be a good name for my book blog. Not original, I know, but it seems to suit me. :)

Thanks for stopping by! Please leave a link so I can visit your Follow Friday and/or Book Blogger Hop post!!

Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins

Hex Hall
(Hex Hall Series #1)
Author: Rachel Hawkins
Publisher: Hyperion
Publication Date: March 2nd 2010
Pages: 352
Age Range: Young Adult
ISBN-13: 9781423121398
ISBN: 1423121392

From Goodreads.com:
Three years ago, Sophie Mercer discovered that she was a witch. It's gotten her into a few scrapes. Her non-gifted mother has been as supportive as possible, consulting Sophie's estranged father--an elusive European warlock--only when necessary. But when Sophie attracts too much human attention for a prom-night spell gone horribly wrong, it's her dad who decides her punishment: exile to Hex Hall, an isolated reform school for wayward Prodigium, a.k.a. witches, faeries, and shapeshifters.
By the end of her first day among fellow freak-teens, Sophie has quite a scorecard: three powerful enemies who look like supermodels, a futile crush on a gorgeous warlock, a creepy tagalong ghost, and a new roommate who happens to be the most hated person and only vampire student on campus. Worse, Sophie soon learns that a mysterious predator has been attacking students, and her only friend is the number-one suspect.
As a series of blood-curdling mysteries starts to converge, Sophie prepares for the biggest threat of all: an ancient secret society determined to destroy all Prodigium, especially her..

My Review:
So, I finally got around to reading Hex Hall, and let me tell you, I literally flew through this book. It was really quick paced, and kept my attention throughout the book.

The characters are great. I really liked Sophie. She is so sweet, and just an all around great friend. I love that she stuck up for her friend, even it it meant everyone else being against her. She also kind of reminded me of myself, with the getting into trouble without actually meaning to. ;)

The other characters in this book were well thought out also. I enjoyed Jenna, Archer, and even the mean girls, Elodie and her crew.

This book kept me guessing right up to the end. (I was wrong in my guess too.) I read it in less than 24 hours, it was that good. I can't wait to read the next book, Demonglass! Happy Reading!

Paranormalcy by Kiersten White

Paranormalcy
Author: Kiersten White
Publication Date: August 31st 2010
Publisher: HarperCollins
Pages: 335
Age Range: Young Adult
ISBN-13: 9780061985843
ISBN: 0061985848

Summary from Goodreads.com:
Evie’s always thought of herself as a normal teenager, even though she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she’s falling for a shape-shifter, and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals’ glamours.

But Evie’s about to realize that she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.
So much for normal.

My Review:
All Evie wants is to be normal. To have the normal life of a sixteen year old girl, to go to school, have a locker, a driver’s license, and friends. And, most importantly, to not be alone. Instead, Evie is an employee of IPCA, (also known as International Paranormal Containment Agency), where she bags and tags paranormal creatures of all kinds. She has a rare gift, she can see through any paranormal’s glamour, and see their true selves. Her ex-boyfriend is a faerie that's trying to lure her to his world, and she's finding herself falling in love with an unknown paranormal shape-shifter that broke into IPCA with his own agenda. Will her life ever be normal???

I picked up Paranormalcy at the library because of the good reviews it has gotten. Boy am I glad I did! This book was hilarious! It is a great mixture of action, comedy and romance. I really enjoyed it!

I really liked Evie's character. She was funny, but also kick-butt. She definitely knew how to take care of business. She's so funny when she talks about her beloved pink with rhinestones Taser, affectionately known as, Tasey. lol I really felt bad for her, she was so lonely. I can't imagine a life like that.

Lend, the shape-shifter, was also awesome! Sweet and charming, and he wasn't all macho like most hero's are. He was actually scared in some parts. That was a nice change. Such a sweet couple!

The plot of the book was really great. Definitely not what I was expecting, and it was a nice change.

If you like paranormal books, you will really enjoy this one. I know I did! I can't wait to read book 2, Supernaturally, which the cover was just released for. GORGEOUS!

Happy Reading!

This week I am cover crazy about...
Supernaturally
Author: Kiersten White

I absolutely love this cover. I love the way her dress matches the background. The red/brown/orange blends really well together. The dress is stunning, and I love that her hair is blowing in the breeze.

I also love that they used the same girl that is on the cover of Paranormalcy, which I am currently reading. She's very pretty, and I am glad they used her again.

This cover is gorgeous! I can't wait to get ahold of the book. :)

Cinderella: Ninja Warrior by Maureen McGowan

Cinderella: Ninja Warrior
Author: Maureen McGowan
Publication Date: April 1st 2011
Publisher: Silver Dolphin Books
Pages: 320
Age Range: Young Adult
ISBN-13: 9781607102557
ISBN: 1607102552

Summary from Goodreads.com:
In this fast-paced story full of adventure and romance, Cinderella is more than just a servant girl waiting for her prince—she's a tough, fearless girl who is capable of taking charge of a dangerous situation. Seeking to escape the clutches of her evil stepmother, Cinderella perfects her ninja skills and magic talents in secret, waiting for the day when she can break free and live happily ever after. In a special twist, readers have the opportunity to make key decisions for Cinderella and decide where she goes next—but no matter the choice; the result is a story unlike any fairy tale you've ever read!

My Review:
Cinderella: Ninja Warrior is a retelling of the classic fairytale Cinderella, with an added mix of wizardy and ninja fighting. Another plus is that the book allows you to chose your own adventure!

After the death of her mom, and then her dad, Cinderella is at the mercy of her evil step-mother and step-sisters. She waits on them hand and foot, and is treated badly in return. She trains in secret, hoping to one day defeat her evil step-mother and escape with her cat, Max, and to one day live happily ever after.

I really liked the characters. Cinderella was strong-willed and determined. I like Max, the cat, as well. The step-mother and sisters were about the same as they are in the original fairytale...evil!

This book was lots of fun. I really enjoyed reading it! The mixture of wizardry and martial arts was definitely interesting. The added bonus of being able to decide what was going to happen was a great fun. I believe there were 8 different ways you could mix and match the book.

If you love the original Cinderella story, you will like this book as well. Lots of fun and romance. I really enjoyed it!

Thanks to Netgalley and Baker & Taylor Publishing Group for allowing me to read and review this book!

Sunday Confessions : What book would you want to be transported into???

"Sunday Confessions is a weekly meme started by Marcie at To Read or Not to Read, as a way to get to share a bit about herself and also learning more about me and you. Sometimes its about books and book related topics and sometimes it's not. This is all in good fun and I would love it if you would participate."

This week's question:
If you could be transported into any book, what book would it be?

Hmmm, this is a tough decision! If I were going to be transported into any book for just a few hours, I would totally say any Jane Austen book. I love the time period, the language, the clothing. However, I wouldn't want to stay long. I'm too attached to my computer and blackberry, and well... all modern conveniences. ;)
Otherwise, I would say... The Mortal Instrument series. I just can't get enough of those books. And I love, love, LOVE Jace! The writing and descriptions are so wonderful... I just want to be there!

What book would you be transported into?? I look forward to hearing your answer!

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

City Of Fallen Angels : The Mortal Instruments Series
Publication Date : April 5th, 2011

From Goodreads.com:
“City of Fallen Angels takes place two months after the events of City of Glass. In it, a mysterious someone’s killing the Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine’s Circle and displaying their bodies around New York City in a manner designed to provoke hostility between Downworlders and Shadowhunters, leaving tensions running high in the city and disrupting Clary’s plan to lead as normal a life as she can — training to be a Shadowhunter, and pursuing her relationship with Jace. As Jace and Clary delve into the issue of the murdered Shadowhunters, they discover a mystery that has deeply personal consequences for them — consequences that may strengthen their relationship, or rip it apart forever. Meanwhile, internecine warfare among vampires is tearing the Downworld community apart, and only Simon — the Daylighter who everyone wants on their side — can decide the outcome; too bad he wants nothing to do with Downworld politics.
