From New York Times bestselling author Lauren Layne, comes the final installment of the Central Park Pact series, a heartfelt and laugh-out-loud romantic comedy that’s perfect for fans of Sally Thorne and Christina Lauren.

Can guys and girls ever be just friends? According to Audrey Tate and Clarke West, absolutely. After all, they’ve been best friends since childhood without a single romantic entanglement. Clarke is the charming playboy Audrey can always count on, and he knows that the ever-loyal Audrey will never not play along with his strategy for dodging his matchmaking mother—announcing he’s already engaged…to Audrey.

But what starts out as a playful game between two best friends turns into something infinitely more complicated, as just-for-show kisses begin to stir up forbidden feelings. As the faux wedding date looms closer, Audrey and Clarke realize that they can never go back to the way things were, but deep down, do they really want to? (Goodreads)

Marriage on Madison Avenue is the third and final book in the Central Park Pact series by Lauren Layne, and was definitely one of my most anticipated reads for this past January. I read the first and second book in the series, Passion on Park Avenue and Love on Lexington Avenue, when they were released in 2019, and enjoyed both books immensely, so I couldn’t want to start this final novel. It was definitely worth the wait!

Quick recap borrowed from my review of Passion on Park Avenue: In case you haven’t read this series, but are curious, here’s what you should know: The Central Park Pact series is about three women, Naomi, Claire, and Audrey, who meet under the most unusual circumstances. (A man.) Because of this, and unlikely friendship is formed, and a book series begins!

Marriage on Madison Avenue was probably the book in the series that I was MOST excited to read. I love Audrey, and I couldn’t wait to start her part of the story. She’s such a fun character! And there’s also Clarke, who is pretty great as well. Together… well, read the story to find out! I also loved that both Claire and Naomi are included throughout the book as well. These books have such a fun storyline, and great characters, that they quickly became some of my favorite reads.

Reading this book was a little bittersweet. While I was really excited for the story and to see how everything would wrap up, I also didn’t want the book (and series) to end! These books were such fun, but also relatable reads, and I have become seriously attached to the characters. I will definitely have to read more books by Lauren soon!

Overall; Marriage on Madison Avenue was such a great ending to The Central Park Pact series! I very much enjoyed Audrey’s story, and the ending wrapped up the series quite nicely. This series was just the escape that I didn’t know I needed, and has helped fuel a growing love for this genre, and I now need more books like this! I definitely plan to read more books by Lauren Layne in the future, and will definitely be reading more books in this genre as well.

March 2020 TBR & The State of the Blog

Happy First Day of March, Bookworms!

It's been a while since I last posted, and I have to say I'm sorry about that. I took a much needed, (although somewhat abrupt), break to clear my brain and heal my mind, and I'm hoping that it was just what I needed.

In case you're wondering... For the past 8-9 months I've been running at about 25% mentally and physically, and we couldn't figure out why I was feeling so drained. I think we finally figured it out, and I am already starting to feel much better. I am now trying to work my way back to reading, blogging, and Bookstagramming regularly, all of which I have been to tired to give much of my attention to lately. I feel like such a slacker, but I'm excited to hopefully get back to things. (I'm also hoping to get back to exercising and eating better as well!) So, wish me luck! I am very much looking forward to life getting back to normal.

And moving on...

March is going to be an AMAZING month for new books! I'm purposely keeping my TBR pretty light this month, because there are so many new releases that I want to spend my time one, with the main one being *Chain of Gold* by Cassandra Clare. I can't wait to read it!

So without future ado, here's my March TBR!!

Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han
(This month I am finishing up my re-read of the series!)

Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert
(I just recently added this book my collection, and I'm so excited to read it!)

Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen
(I had this one on my TBR last month, but didn't get to it!)

Emma by Jane Austen
(Continuing my one classic book a month theme, and I'm excited to re-read this before I see the movie!)

Moment of Truth by Kasie West
(I love Kasie's books, and I'm so excited to read this!)

The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller
(I really love Tricia's books as well, and I can't wait to tackle this book.)
