In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It's a great way to showcase the books you've gotten over the week, whether they are bought, borrowed or free.
Here's what's in my mailbox this week...
Ruined - Paula Morris
I'm still on my book buying ban. This has been my best week yet. I was really, really good and was able to resist tempation. Ok, to be honest, I spent my book money on some much needed new shirts this week. Haha! But still, I didn't buy any books, and the one above came from the library. So Yay me! AND, I'm getting a Lot of reading done lately, so Yay me again. :)
What's in your mailbox this week?? Leave a comment with your link so I can check it out!

I loved Ruined! It is brilliant. Paula Morris is hoping to write a sequel soon.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of this one before, but it sounds quite interesting!
ReplyDeleteOh, a book buying ban... good thing I don't have too many books on my shelf waiting for me, so no need for a ban for me (yet). :D

You clearly have great will power. I have none!

I am loving the sound of this one. Thank goodness for libraries :D
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty cover! I've not heard of this one before, but it's definitely one i would pick up with a lovely/creepy cover like that. Looking forward to hearing what you think of it.
ReplyDeleteAh, the dreaded book buying ban - I lift it once a month to get the new books everybody talks about but I try to stick to it for the other three weeks of the month lol
ReplyDeleteThe cover of ruined looks pretty, very haunting. I'm looking forward to your review :)

Ooo I've never heard of this book before but the cover is gorgeous! I wish I could say I had as much self-restraint as you :P I totally cracked and bought a book! Oh well my addiction is a work in progress! Nice IMM :)
ReplyDeleteYay for being good! I've never even tried to go on a book buying ban...I would fail miserably. :)
ReplyDeleteYour blog looks great!
Good for you on your book buying ban! I could never place myself on one to be honest! I don't think I overbuy books anyway. I usually have a list of releases that I have to have, and then there are always a few books here and there that I end up buying as well! Thank goodness for my savings account! Now I just need to find a job so I can buy more! But the time off does allow me reading time!

Jessica@a GREAT read
Love the new blog layout! :)
ReplyDeleteRuined sounds great!! Just added it to my pile of books that I want to read (which seems to be forever growing since I started blogging in earnest)! I'm not complaining though, as I have learnt about some really great books that I would otherwise never have known about! Hope you enjoy Ruined! (And well done for managing to keep to your book buying ban!)

I haven't head about this one before but the cover looks intriguing!
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to be on a bit of a self imposed book buying ban as well!
I put books in my B&N cart and then move them around, leave the page, come back a few days later and do the same thing. Sometimes just playing with them is enough to keep me okay...but sometimes I do hit checkout and then it's over. :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on sticking to your book buying ban! I need to to do that so that I can finally lower my TBR mountain. But so many good books comes out and I have no willpower. My mailboxes are at Inside of a Dog and Ms. Martin Teaches Media. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThis books sounds good and it looks gorgeous !!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to read your review on it !!

ReplyDeleteJust added this to my TBR list. Sounds great. Enjoy!
Is it my imagination, or have you changed your blog more than once recently? It looks great--but I could have sworn you'd only just changed the header.
ReplyDeleteSucks about the book ban, but honestly, I think they're a good thing if they send people back to the library.
I've never heard of this one before, but the cover is so awesome. Definitely adding it to my TBR list. And yay you for being able to stick to your book buying ban. It's not an easy thing to do, lol.
ReplyDeleteWhy oh why can I not have your self-control. I have been doing better with my book buying but I'm still getting too many. Ruined looks good.

ReplyDeleteHappy reading!
Ruined by Paula Morris is one of my favorite YA books, also one of the first I started reading when I started reading YA again. I guess you could say it inspired me. She's got a new book coming out soon.
