Waiting on Wednesday #96 - Dance of the Red Death

Dance of the Red Death
(Masque of the Red Death #2)
by Bethany Griffin

Publication Date: April 23rd, 2013
Publisher: Greenwillow Books

Bethany Griffin continues the journey of Araby Worth in Dance of the Red Death—the sequel to her teen novel Masque of the Red Death.

In Dance of the Red Death, Araby’s world is in shambles—betrayal, death, disease, and evil forces surround her. She has no one to trust. But she finds herself and discovers that she will fight for the people she loves, and for her city.

Her revenge will take place at the menacing masked ball, though it could destroy her and everyone she loves…or it could turn her into a hero.

With a nod to Edgar Allan Poe, Bethany Griffin concludes her tragic and mysterious Red Death series with a heroine that young adult readers will never forget. (Goodreads)

This is another series that my dear friend Kathy (A Glass of Wine) introduced me to. I am SO glad she did! Masque of the Red Death was such an intriguing read. Everything about the book was awesome, especially the flawed characters. I cant wait to read Dance of the Red Death!

What are you Waiting for this week??

  1. Love the purple on this one and how it correlates to the series. I wasn't the biggest fan of the first book -- too many POVs that I didn't care about (I wanted them to focus on the guy & girl) -- but I liked the world and storyline.

  5. I'm kind of disappointed that the cover doesn't have more red on it-the purple just doesn't quite fit.
