December 15: Top Ten Best Books I Read In 2015

1. The Start of Me and You by Emery Lord - This was the first book that I read in 2015, and it was a GREAT book to kick off a new year with. I'll be doing the same again this year with Emery's newest book as well!

2. The Heart of Betrayal by Mary E. Pearsons - This was one of my most anticipated reads for 2015, and also one of my Most Fave reads of the year! I love this series so much. If you haven't checked it out yet, you totally should!!


3. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard - This book was So Good, and definitely one of the most unique books I've read in a really long time. I loved everything about it, and can't wait to read more in the series!

4. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas - Not only was this book a fave for 2015, it's also my very first Sarah J. Maas read! And, I loved it! Her *Throne of Glass* series is next on my list to tackle.


5. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir - This was yet anther super unique and creative book that I really, really enjoyed. I hadn't anticipated on reading the book at first, but I'm SO glad I did. Well worth it!

6. Ten Thousand Skies Above You by Claudia Gray - Yet another of my most anticipated reads that also found a spot on my Best Books list! The first book was on my Top Ten list for last year, and I'm thrilled to have the sequel on here as well. :)


7. Nowhere But Here by Katie McGarry - I'm a die-hard Katie McGarry fan, and I loved the start of her newest series. I am really looking forward to reading more!

8. Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen - Of all the books I've read by Sarah Dessen so far, Saint Anything is one of my most favorites! And that's saying a lot because a LOT of her books are my faves as well. ;)


9. Me Before You by Jojo Moyes - When I first heard of this book, I totally did not expect to love it as much as I did. But it was seriously SO GOOD. I can't wait for the movie, I really hope it's awesome as well.

10. The Martian by Andy Weir - This is another book that I didn't expect to like as much as I did, but I DID!! And the movie as well. :)

Wow, this was HARD! Seriously, do you know how hard it was to make this list?
I kept changing it before finally settling, but there are still many more that could be here.
2015 was a great year for books, don't you agree?
However, I'm SO ready to start diving into all the books that 2016 will bring!!

When I first discovered Come Back to Me by Mila Grey, (Sarah Alderson), I knew I would have to read the book. Not only because I've really enjoyed the New Adult genre lately, but also because it's a book from Sarah Alderson, whose book The Sound really won me over when I read it last year. I was super excited to read something new by her, and I ended up absolutely adoring Come Back to Me.

Jessa and Kit have known each other for years, with Kit being Jessa's brothers best friend, they naturally because close friends as well. But as the years have gone by, their simple friendship has turned into secret crushes, which explodes into passionate and intense summer romance that blossoms into something so much more than either Kit nor Jess expected. And when leave is over, and Kit is again on deployment, tragedy strikes, and it's epic and threatens to tear their newly found relationship completely apart.

Seriously, this book gave me ALL THE FEELS. As I mentioned above, the relationship between Kit and Jessa, once discovered, was extremely intense and passionate. This book definitely did not lack in the sexy-times department, and boy were there a lot of them. But along with the romantic feels, this book brought up so many other feelings as well. I laughed and giggled along with Kit and Jessa and some of the situations they went through. I cringed when I thought their secret affair was about to be exposed. My heart broke in two when tragedy strikes and leaves everyone completely shell-shocked. I totally mean it when I say the book gave me all the feels. It totally did, and I LOVE books that do this. Also, the storyline for the book was completely engrossing and I totally adored a lot of the secondary characters in the story as well.

Overall; I really, really enjoyed Come Back to Me. I absolutely need the second book in this series, This Is One Moment, which is Jessa's friend Didi's story, in my life as soon as humanly possible, because I just know that it's going to be great as well!

Top Ten Tuesday: New-To-Me Favorite Authors I Read For The First Time In 2015

December 8: Top Ten New-To-Me Favorite Authors I Read For The First Time In 2015

1. Sarah J. Maas -I'm SO totally late to the party when it comes to Sarah J. Maas! I read *A Court of Thorns and Roses* this year, and absolutely adored the book. I can't wait for the rest of the books in the series, and I'm hoping to start the *Throne of Glass* series early next year!

2. Mindy McGinnis -I've had the *Not a Drop to Drink* series on my TBR for FOREVER, but got the chance to read *A Madness So Discreet* early and jumped on it. I was not disappointed, and I will be reading *Not a Drop to Drink* asap!


3. Huntley Fitzpatrick - Would you believe that I had *My Life Next Door* sitting on my shelf for a really long time before I actually read it? Then I kicked myself for not having read it soon, because I loved it!

4. Abbi Glines - *Until Friday Night* was my first experience with Abbi Glines! I had a lot of her new adult books on my TBR, and I'm curious to get started on them!


5. Heather Demetrios - I'll Meet You There is the very first book I've read by Heather Demetrios, and I absolutely loved it! *Something Real* is the next book I plan to tackle of hers, and I'm super excited to finally read it!

6. Jojo Moyes - Somehow, I lived under a rock and didn't know about Jojo Moyes until this year! I read *Me Before You* with my book club earlier this year, and absolutely adored the story. *After You* was great as well, and I'm dying to get started on the rest of her books. :)


7. Andy Weir - To be honest, *The Martian* was no where near close to being on my TBR, but I read the book because The Hubby wanted to see the movie, and I'm all about reading the book before seeing the movie. I didn't expect to completely love the book as much as I did! A lot of the scientific stuff was over my head, but the book, and the movie, were both really great.

8. Paula Hawkins -Since everyone and their mama was reading *The Girl on the Train* this year, and then raving about it, I knew I had to check the book out. I was a little late to the party, but not by much! The book was mysterious and intense, and I loved it. Can't wait to read more from her!


9. Jay Kristoff - I knew I would love anything written by Amie Kaufman, but Jay Kristoff was new on my radar! I was curious though, especially since this book was getting rave reviews as well. Again, I loved it!

10. Suzanne Young - I've had *The Program* series on my TBR for way too long, but I knew I had to read Hotel Ruby as soon as I saw that stunning cover! I am really looking forward to reading *The Program* next!!

I've had Just Listen on my to-read list for a really long time now, and when I decided to read ALL of the Sarah Dessen books I own this year, this was the one I absolutely couldn't wait to start. The book had been sitting on my shelves, just waiting for me to read it, and I finally did, although I ended up listening to the audiobook instead of actually reading my finished copy. Regardless, I loved this book so much!

There are so many characters in this story that I absolutely love. The main character, Annabel, was such an awesome young lady, and has a really great family as well. Their lives were far from perfect, but they worked so well together to help each other through the problems, and I love, love, love this so much. Her parents were great, as were her sisters. Of course, each of them were quirky in their own way, but I loved them all even more for it.

One of my most loved characters in the book for me, I'd had to say, was Owen Armstrong. I've read quite a few Sarah Dessen books, and I almost always fall in love with the hero of the story, but Owen is different, and I really think that he's my most favorite of Dessen's main men up to this point.

It's not only the characters that I love in the story, however, but I loved the storyline as well. While the book was a really great read, it also has a really great message as well, one that I hope young girls will read and remember. I've already given my girls a copy of this book to read, and I can wait until they do so that we can discuss the book together!

As I mentioned above, I listened to the audio book for Just Listen, and I absolutely loved the narrator. Jennifer Ikeda did a wonderful job with the narrating and voices in this story, and I was pleased to discover that she also narrated audio books like A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas, the All Souls series by Deborah Harkness, The Ring and the Crown by Melissa De La Cruz, and many, many more! I'm really looking forward to listening to more by her in the near future; she was great!

Overall; I think Just Listen has become one of my most favorite Dessen books EVER, and that's saying a lot because I really love ALL of Sarah's books. But this one really made an impact with me, and I'm now going to force everyone I know to read it. Now I only have four more books to read by Dessen and I will have read her whole collection! These books are great, check them out sometime!!

December 1: Top Ten 2016 Debuts Novels We Are Looking Forward To

1. Blackhearts by Nicole Castroman - Arrrrr, a pirate book!! I love pirates, and unfortunately, there are not nearly enough pirate books in my life. I'm starting this one soon, and I'm pretty excited!

2. Burning Glass by Kathryn Purdie - The first thing that drew me to this book was its absolutely stunning cover! Then I read the synopsis, and I was even more intrigued! I can't wait to read this!


3. Burning by Danielle Rollins - This book came in the mail this past week, and I'm both excited and kinda terrified to read it! It's written by Danielle Vega, and I've heard her books are great, if somewhat intense, but I'm still pretty excited to check it out.

4. Assassins Heart by Sarah Ahiers - Have you read the summary for this book? Rival families of assassins? This book HAS to be awesome!!! I can't wait to dive into it!


5. Love that Split the World by Emily Henry - I snagged a copy of this book via First To Read, and it sounds really great! I'm really excited to check it out.

6. Shallow Graves by Kali Wallace -This is yet another book that drew me in with its stunning cover! The story sounds pretty awesome as well, and I am really looking forward to reading it!


7. These Vicious Masks by Tarun Shanker & Kelly Zekas - I received a review copy for this book a while back, and I've been itching to dive into it. Not only is the cover gorgeous, but the pages inside the book are as well!! I hope it's great!

8. The Crown's Game by Evelyn Skye - I love the summary for this book! The characters and the storyline both sound really awesome. I think Harper Teen is going to have another big hit on their hands with this book, and I can't wait to read it!


9. Underwater by Marisa Reichardt - I have an ARC of this book sitting on my shelf, staring at me, just waiting for me to start it. Soon, my pet... soon. It sound SO good!

10. After the Woods by Kim Savage - I received an ARC of this book a while back as well, and I'm dying to start it! I love the cover, and the summary sounds awesome!!

Seriously you guys, 2016 is going to be ANOTHER great year for books!!
