The noise between Patch and Nora is gone. They've overcome the secrets riddled in Patch's dark past...bridged two irreconcilable worlds...faced heart-wrenching tests of betrayal, loyalty and trust...and all for a love that will transcend the boundary between heaven and earth. Armed with nothing but their absolute faith in one another, Patch and Nora enter a desperate fight to stop a villain who holds the power to shatter everything they've worked for—and their love—forever. Silence is a read I’ve been anxiously away since I finished reading Crescendo last year. I’ll try to keep this as spoiler free as possible! If you haven’t read the other books in this series, you definitely should!

If you have read the series, you will know that the main character in the story in Nora. I have always really liked Nora since the first book. She did frustrate me at times in Silence, she didn’t always make the best decision about things. I know that the story wouldn’t have been the same if she hadn’t made the decisions she made, but it was still frustrating. Otherwise, I still enjoyed her character.

Patch is definitely the best part of the book for me. Unfortunately, we don’t see much of him during the first half of the book. I kept waiting and waiting for him to show up more, but we don’t see a lot of him until the second half of the book. Patch is so awesome; I really just love his character. I love the way he treats Nora. Oh my gosh, he’s so swoon-worthy!

The secondary characters were pretty so-so for me. I didn’t care for Vee in the first book, but she grew on me in the second book. She didn’t really make much of an impression on me after reading this book. Hank, who we met in the second book, was a great villain, he was so evil!

Mrs. Fitzpatrick did a really great job with the storyline for this book. It definitely had it all; action, suspense, romance. I was completely hooked throughout the book, and I was a bit sad that I finished it so quickly.

Overall, I really enjoyed the book! I am so glad to hear that there’s going to be a fourth book in the series. Bring It On!

Happy Reading!

Sigh..Patch. He really is awesome! Sounds like there are some swoon worthy moments in this book.

I am glad that there is a fourth book in this series too. I am guessing that this ends on some form of cliffhanger though.

    Great review!

  7. I've been eagerly awaiting this one after the ending of Crescendo! I have to say Patch and Nora drove me a little crazy with their angst and their games in Crescendo, so I'm glad to hear Patch treats Nora well in this one:) Can't wait to read!

  8. Great review, Christy!
I still need to read Crescendo and haven't done that yet, because I wanted to know whether the series ended good or not before ruining my love for Hush, Hush. But now that there's going to be a fourth book, I'm not so sure whether I want to wait this long. Maybe I'll pick book 2 & 3 up soon.

    Thanks for sharing your opinion,
    Carina

  11. I was surprised by this book. I didn't love the start of it because nothing was really happening and there was so little of Patch, but when he came back he was better than ever and of course the action just kept on coming. Great review.

  12. I was not a huge fan of Patch in the first book and haven't read the second. Maybe I should give it another try, especially if Patch turned awesome!
