Their love was meant to be.

When Megan Rosenberg moves to Ireland, everything in her life seems to fall into place. After growing up in America, she's surprised to find herself feeling at home in her new school. She connects with a group of friends, and she is instantly drawn to darkly handsome Adam DeRĂs.

But Megan is about to discover that her feelings for Adam are tied to a fate that was sealed long ago—and that the passion and power that brought them together could be their ultimate destruction. (Goodreads)
I was so excited to get a hold of The Carrier of the Mark. The cover is just stunning, and the story sounded awesome, so I was really looking forward to reading the book.

The two main characters in the book were Megan and Adam. I found these characters to be pretty likable, overall. There was some insta-love between the two. However, I can see this as being part of the intense pull they have for each other. The secondary characters in the book were very well written. I enjoyed reading about Adam’s family; his sister and brother; Aine and Rian, and also his guardian; Fionn. Megan’s dad and her best friend were also great characters as well. I’m really enjoying books where the main characters have really awesome best friends.

The storyline for the book was really interesting, and it held my attention throughout the book. Especially toward the end of the book, that’s where a lot of action comes into play. I loved the setting of the book. I haven’t read many books that were set in Ireland, and I really enjoyed the descriptions and setting. The language was pretty fun to read as well, all the Irish slang that the author threw in.

Overall, this was a really interesting read for me. I am really looking forward to reading the next book in the series, as I’m really curious as to where the author is going to go with the story.

Happy Reading!
