New York Times bestselling authors Rachel Cohn and David Levithan are back with a life-affirming Christmas romance starring Dash and Lily.

Dash and Lily have had a tough year since readers first watched the couple fall in love. Lily’s beloved grandfather suffered a heart attack, and his difficult road to recovery has taken a major toll on her typically sunny disposition.

With only twelve days left until Christmas—Lily’s favorite time of the year—Dash, Lily’s brother Langston, and their closest friends take Manhattan by storm to help Lily recapture the holiday magic of New York City in December.

Told in alternating chapters, The Twelve Days of Dash & Lily reunites two beloved characters and is bound to be a Christmas favorite, season after season. (Goodreads)

Ohhh! I'm so excited to go on another journey with Dash and Lily!
I read Dash & Lily's Book of Dares the Christmas before last (2014),
and really, really enjoyed the story.
I can't wait to meet these characters again in Twelve Days of Dash and Lily!!

I always try to keep up with them, but always manage to fall behind. *smirk*
As I said, I'm totally not a tv person. haha!

http://abc.go.com/shows/designated-survivor

2. Designated Survivor ( ABC, Wednesday, September 21st) - I'm really not sure why I want to watch this one. It sounds pretty good, so I'm going to give it a shot!

http://www.cbs.com/shows/kevin-can-wait/

3. Kevin Can Wait (CBS, Monday, September 19th) - I will pretty much watch Kevin James in just about anything, because he reminds me SO MUCH of my hubby. HAHA! I'm really excited to see him in a new show, and I hope he does well in it. :)

4. Man with a Plan (CBS,
Monday, October 24th) - It's been forever since I've seen Matt LeBlanc in anything, so I'm curious to see how this will go!

https://www.netflix.com/title/80025678 http://abc.go.com/shows/conviction

Returning Shows (That I Haven't Yet Watched)

3. Last Man Standing (ABC, Season 6 Premiere Friday, September 23) - The hubby and I watch this show in the evenings some days, kind of hard not to as it's on at least 3 different channels in the afternoons. It's quirky and funny, and I really like Tim Allen.

4. Big Bang Theory ( Season 10 Premiere Monday, September 19) - I have not watched this series all the way through, even though it's something I need to do, but I know enough where I can watch the new seasons and still figure out what's going on. ;)  I love this show!

I'll never get through them all. But I can always hope to.

Tell me, what shows are YOU most excited for this Fall??
Leave me a link to your list so I can check them out!!
I'd love to add some more to my list as well.

International bestselling author Gayle Forman's trademark humor and insight abound in this masterful adult debut, showing us that sometimes you have to leave home in order to find it again.

For every woman who has ever fantasized about driving past her exit on the highway instead of going home to make dinner, for every woman who has ever dreamed of boarding a train to a place where no one needs constant attention--meet Maribeth Klein. A harried working mother who's so busy taking care of her husband and twins, she doesn't even realize she's had a heart attack.

Afterward, surprised to discover that her recuperation seems to be an imposition on those who rely on her, Maribeth does the unthinkable: She packs a bag and leaves. But, as is so often the case, once we get to where we're going, we see our lives from a different perspective. Far from the demands of family and career and with the help of liberating new friendships, Maribeth is finally able to own up to secrets she has been keeping from those she loves and from herself.

With big-hearted characters who stumble and trip, grow and forgive, Leave Me is about facing our fears. Gayle Forman, a dazzling observer of human nature, has written an irresistible novel that confronts the ambivalence of modern motherhood head-on.

My Thoughts...

I was super excited when I discovered Leave Me, an upcoming adult novel by the lovely Gayle Forman. I'm a pretty big fan of Gayle's If I Stay series, and I've had her Just One Day series on my TBR for a while now, just waiting on me to read it. Leave Me sounded really interesting, and different, so I couldn't wait to check it out. I'm glad I did!

I found the main character in the story, Maribeth, to be a very relatable character, both as a mother and a woman, and in the fact that she had a hard time asking for help. (This. Is. Me.) Although I know if I were ever in Maribeth's shoes,  I'd have a really great support system behind me. I could definitely relate to some of the things that she went through in the story, and that made me appreciate her as a character so much more than I expected to.  That being said, I don't think I would have been able to do what she did, to walk away from everything. I don't think I'm that brave, or even that willing to do that.

The storyline for this book was really interesting, and it grabbed me right from the beginning. And, coming in at only 343 pages, it was a super quick read as well. I read the whole book in just a few hours time, and I would have loved for it to keep going after the ending. There were still SO many things I wanted to know. But I thought it ended very nicely as well.

Overall;  I didn't know what to expect when I started reading Leave Me, but I found the story to be very interesting, and even relatable as well. Considering the fact that I've enjoyed all the books by Forman that I've read to this point, I should have known I would have enjoyed this one as well. Now I'm even more excited to get caught up on her Just One Day series, and to read more from her in the future!!
