Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris—until she meets √Čtienne St. Claire: perfect, Parisian (and English and American, which makes for a swoon-worthy accent), and utterly irresistible. The only problem is that he's taken, and Anna might be, too, if anything comes of her almost-relationship back home.
As winter melts into spring, will a year of romantic near-misses end with the French kiss Anna—and readers—have long awaited? -Goodreads

I was a little worried about reading Anna and the French Kiss. I have read so many reviews from people that adore the book, and I was afraid that it would not meet my high expectations. I worried for nothing! This book was just what I needed, a quick paced, cute, fluffy read. I really enjoyed it!

I loved the characters. They were all wonderfully developed, and I really cared for all of them. Anna and St. Clair are the perfect couple. I was rooting for them the whole time. Both had their flaws, and that made me love them even more. I loved the secondary characters as well, Meredith, Rashmi, and especially Josh. I even loved the characters that I hated. (Amanda) I enjoyed watching all of these characters develop more and more throughout the book.

The storyline was well written and well paced. I love the setting and the descriptions. I want to go to France SO bad now! The picture Ms. Perkins created in my mind was incredible. The descriptions were delicious. I felt as though I was really there.

Overall, this was a really fun read for me. Ms. Perkins is a very talented writer, and I loved the journey she took me on with this book. I caught myself smiling as I flew through the pages. I’m anxiously awaiting the release of Lola and the Boy Next Door now!

  1. Great review! I'm going to squee so loudly when I get my copy of Lola - I just hope it's the same size as Anna!

  3. I always worry too when a book is hyped up so much, but this one definitely exceeded my expectations as well! It was such a cute read!

  4. I have also heard some excellent things about this book and was wondering if it would really live up to my expectations. I haven't read it yet but after reading your review I think I really should give it a go. It feels like the perfect warm weather read for me!

    Great review!

  6. Great review! I just got this one recently but haven't gotten around to reading it yet. I'll have to get to it soon :)

  7. I'm so happy you loved it as well! This novel is simply amazing and I actually heard that Lola and the Boy Next Door is supposed to be even better! Sounds quite impossible, but I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Thanks for sharing your opinion. It definitely made me want to reread AATFK now. :D

  8. You have official made me the last person on the planet to not have read this book yet. I'm glad that the amazing reviews are still poring in. Makes me want to kick myself, but at least I know I have something good to look forward to when I finally wise up and read it. :)

  9. Great review. I'm glad the book didn't disappoint you. I know how it is when a book has been so hyped up, you read it, and it just falls flat for you.

  10. I don't think I've heard of a person not liking this novel. I strongly believe that after reading this novel you cannot help but fall for St. Claire and swoon over him and Anna. What a perfect couple.

  11. Great review! I was worried about this one too, but I loved it so much.

  12. Fun, fun! I plan on reading this one soon.

  13. LOVED this book! It made me grin like an idiot throughout! :) I can't wait for Lola too.

  14. Yay! We're so glad you enjoyed it. We do understand fearing the hype, but like you said, in this case there was nothing to fear. ;)

  15. That's always a worry of mine. Everybody loving and raving about a book, then I get my hands on it and just to get what everybody sees. It funny when you think Stephanie Perkins hadn't even been to France herself when she wrote this, but everybody wants to go there after they read it. Great review, looking forward to getting this one day :-)

  16. Every time I pick the book I think it doesn't sound as good as everyone says it is, but everyone says they thought the same thing. I'm really looking forward to getting it. Great review!

Thanks for stopping by! :)
