Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee. It's a great way to meet new blogger friends!
This weeks question is:
Q. Genre Wars! What's your favorite genre and which book in that genre made it your favorite?Hmmm... I would probably have to say Dystopian. And the books that got me there... The Hunger Games, of course!
Book Blogger Hop #16
Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Crazy-For-Books.com. It's a great way to meet new people and friends around the blogworld!
Today's question is:
“How many books are currently in your To-Be-Read (TBR) Pile?"Ummm, too many. :) If I am just counting what's on my bookshelf at the moment that I've purchased, borrowed, gotten from Netgalley, etc, it would probably be over 50. My TBR list on Goodreads is currently around 750!
Thanks for stopping by everyone! Please leave a comment with your link so I can follow you back!

I haven't read many dystopian but when they are good, boy are they good.
ReplyDeleteHi & Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteMy choice this week is Urban Fantasy :) I loved the Hunger Games! A great choice.

Have a nice weekend.
Old follower here. Great choice! I just finished that trilogy last month and it really got me into dystopian.
ReplyDeleteNew follower just stopping by to say Hi and Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteI chose romance. Bring on the ab-tastic men and their fiery heroines. TSTL heroines need not apply.
Kati R @ Romancing Rakes
Agreed! Hunger Games is awesome! It sparked my interest in dystopian. You should try The Demon Trapper series by Jana Oliver. There's romance in it but it's set in the near future, say 2018.

Hi! New follower! I'm posting both of these as well!
ReplyDeleteThere is no other dystopian but Hunger Games. Nah, seriously, I only compare all the others to it! ;)
Happy reading, friend!

Great choice! My first one was Enclave by Ann Aguirre.

I have not read anything in this genre before, but maybe I will since everyone seems to love the hunger games!
ReplyDeletehttp://ratherbarefoot.blogspot.com/2011/06/friday-question-2.html
Yes, dystopia seems to be a popular genre. I loved the Hunger Games too! Have a great Friday!
ReplyDeleteYAY! I love that we love the same genre AND that the same book started it for both of us! :)
ReplyDeleteI might be one of the few people who haven't read The Hunger Games. I'm more of a paranormal reader! Where my interest can really only be held if there's some sort of supernatural going on!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Friday Hops
Have a GREAT weekend!

I haven't read any dystopian yet, but Matched is sitting on my shelf calling out to me.

Hopping over from the Hop! And I'm an old follower! :)
ReplyDelete50 books in your possession isn't too bad! I have considerably less than that haha. But that's ok by me. Some people have thousands! So I'm happy with my small number! :)

Hi! Just hopping thru (and a new follower) and I have to admit that I too loved the Hunger Games. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteThe Hunger Games is such an amazing series. This was hard to pick just one.
ReplyDeleteYour TBR list is HUGE!
Happy weekend!
I do like dystopia, but I don't have a favorite genre. I like a few different ones.

I really haven't read a lot of Dystopian, although I do have a lot of Dystopian on my TBR list. And speaking of TBR lists, my goodreads shelf is nowhere near where yours it but it is starting to get a little crazy!
ReplyDeleteBonnie @ HandsAndHome
There is no such thing as too many books on your TBR. The most important thing is to read and enjoy what you read.
ReplyDeleteHappy blogging.
My TBR list on Goodreads is also rather large (854). When will we ever get through them all? I even went through and removed about 50 that I was no longer interested in. haha
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of people will choose dystopian. I've only read one so far.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend :-D
New Follower! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! I was going to follow you but apparently I already was!
ReplyDeleteI am your 499th follower! :) Hunger Games is awesome. I haven't rad any other dystopian but have heard Divergant is excellent. I will have to look into the genre more.
ReplyDeleteJen
I have yet to read The Hunger Games, but I've read several Dystopian and I'm not a big fan. :( So, I've been nervous to give it a go.

Wow! 750 that's a lot. I think mine is at 350 but their's no way I could ever even make a dent in that number. I read one, add one such a vicious cycle :) lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, I can't wait to read Hunger Games.

If you like dystopian novels, then I have to recommend The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood to you, if you haven't already read it- it's too awesome not to be read! I had a really hard time picking a favourite genre though, everything's just so fabulous hehehe
ReplyDeleteThanks for hopping! I have so many books TBR it's not funny
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of books I want to read, but only about 12 physical books that are waiting on my bookshelf. I'm a new follower. Come on over to my site and enter to win a Kindle on my book launch of

New follower hopping back your way! Love your blog! LOVE IT! The header is the cutest thing! :)
ReplyDeleteI have way too many books on my TBR list and TBR pile. All told that comes to about sixty books.
ReplyDeleteNow here's the scary math: I read roughly one book per week - and sometimes two. But two to three books are being added to my TBR list every week.
Stressful, right?
Wrong!
Hop on over to my blog - http://www.howardsherman.net and find out why.

ReplyDelete750!? That's insane...but a good kind of insane :D It's nice knowing you have tons of books waiting for you to be read.

Wow! That's quite a TBR pile! And Dystopian is really growing on me now. Really loving that genre. :)
ReplyDeleteSO many people have said that dystopian is their favourite because of the Hunger Games series. I own the book, but I have not read it. I better jump on it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
I gotta applaud The Hunger Games love. I am getting quite attached to the dystopian genre myself!
ReplyDeletehttp://onceuponaprologue.blogspot.com/
Dystopian is a popular choice this week, and no wonder. It is a great genre. :) My physical TBR pile is over 100, but my GR TBR is over 600. We'll never run out of anything to read. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Christy,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and the follow - following you back now. :)
Hunger Games was a great read. I have books 2 and 3 waiting in my TBR pile. It was the fist dystopian book I ever read and it has wet my appetite for the genre.
