Friday Hops 2/10

Follow Friday! #46

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read. It's a great way to meet new blogger friends!

Q: What would your prefer: reading your favorite book over and over again until you got sick of it OR reading 100s of mediocre books? And why?

A. I'm not much of a re-reader... Actually I haven't re-read a book in a long time. It would have to be a really great book for me to re-read it over and over again. I'd say I'd rather read 100's of mediocre books, because you never know when you'll find another favorite, but still go back to my favorites to re-read whenever I wanted. :) (Confused you, yeah?)

TGIF at GReads #14

TGIF at GReads is a Friday Feature hosted by Ginger at GReadsBooks.com!

Love Stories: What are some of your favorite fictional love stories?

My number one love story will always be Pride and Prejudice. It is such an amazing story, and Jane Austen is brilliant.  If I had to choose a favorite YA love story... the list would be way too long. :)

Thanks for stopping by everyone! Please leave a comment with your link so I can follow you back!

  1. Bahaha, way to not answer the question with answering it!

I totally agree about Jane Austen and Pride & Prejudice. Truly hands down my favorite as well. : )

  5. See, I said my favorite because to me, it seems like the question implies any and all of the hundreds of other books would be mediocre to me. If it wasn't for that word, my answer may have been different. :)

    Have a good weekend!

I'm an avid re-reader really. If it's a book I'm an insane fanatic over, I'll re-read constantly. Of course, I have a good period of time in between before I do so I don't wear myself out on it. Haha..

I love my classics also. Admittedly though, I was not a fan of Pride and Prejudice, but I when I read it was about fifteen or sixteen and it was a class assignment--so I think I'm going to buckle down and give it another chance in the near future with different, older eyes. ;) My favorite love story would probably have to be Jane Eyre. :) Same here if I had to choose a YA love story favorite--way too long of a list. Haha!

    Great answers.
Happy Friday and hope you have a great weekend!

  9. I agree with your view on rereading books. I also prefer reading many mediocre books! I'll always have the ones I liked :D
And I haven't read Pride and Prejudice, but I see I'll have to pick it up someday.

  16. Happy Friday Christy! I'm a huge re-reader, so I'd definitely pick my favorite books to read again and again over the mediocre new ones. Such a fun question this week!

  18. Pride & Prejudice is a definite favorite in my book. It's a really good book, one of my favorite classics!

  19. I never have much time for re-reading. It's hard when so many great books are continuously coming out. I'd rather have 100 mediocre stories, but would probably still re-read my favorites if I ever got the time.

    Have a great weekend.

  21. Yeah. I can't reread books even when I try. The only exception is when there is a series and I need to refresh my memory in order to read the next book. Even then I can only skim.

  24. I actually often reread books, but I also do start to dislike them over the time.. Or well, not dislike. But first I love them, then I reread them 400 times and.. Well, I don't like them that much then anymore. *le sigh*

Liked you on Facebook! Maybe return the favor? *puppy face*

Anyway, here's my FF. Hope you're having a splendid weekend! <3

  25. haha...I love your answer. I would most likely pick the same thing. Part of the fun of reading is starting the next book and maybe discovering your next great read.

Also, I couldn't pick just one love story either... I love so many of them.
