Follow Friday! #56
Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read. It's a great way to meet new blogger friends!
Q: This Sunday in the U.S. is Mother's Day, in celebration, what are some of your favorite books with strong mother/child relationships?
A. Unfortunately, I seem to be drawing a blank to this question! I can't really pin down a good mom/child relationship in the YA books I've read lately. The one that really stood out would be between Cas and his mom in Anna Dressed in Blood. :) She was awesome!
Happy Mom's Day, fellow moms!
TGIF at GReads #23
TGIF at GReads is a Friday Feature hosted by Ginger at GReadsBooks.com!
Supporting Characters: We tend to gush over those main characters the most, but what about those supporting roles? Who are some of your favorites?
Hmmm, this is a hard question! Some of my favorites would have to be...
Simon from The Mortal Instrument series
Jules and Ambrose from the Revenants series
Jenna from the Hex Hall series
Grimalkin from The Iron Fey series
These are just to name a few. I have TONS more!
Thanks for stopping by everyone! Please leave a comment with your link so I can follow you back!
Great choice this week!! I haven't read the series but it sounds great!!

YES, Simon was one of my choices too! He's just so adorable, I want him to be my best friend, too. I feel ashamed that i've yet to read the other series you've mentioned haha. Also, the FF question was tough! I was able to think of a few, but by twisting the question a bit.
ReplyDeleteHappy friday!

You know, it's funny you mention Grimalkin because he made me think of another feline supporting character in Song of the Lioness, namely Alanna's black cat, Faithful. :) Now, I'm reminded that I need to read Hex Hall, so many books and so little time! Have a wonderful weekend, Christy! :)

Oooo Jules is a great pick, I adore him! Cas and his mom are awesome as well, and I was thinking maybe Clara and her mom in Unearthly? Yes, she's keeping some secrets about being an angel, but they seemed to have a really great relationship otherwise:)
ReplyDeleteJust blogging by, happy Friday!
