Hazel Camille Bradford knows she’s a lot to take—and frankly, most men aren’t up to the challenge. If her army of pets and thrill for the absurd don’t send them running, her lack of filter means she’ll say exactly the wrong thing in a delicate moment. Their loss. She’s a good soul in search of honest fun.

Josh Im has known Hazel since college, where her zany playfulness proved completely incompatible with his mellow restraint. From the first night they met—when she gracelessly threw up on his shoes—to when she sent him an unintelligible email while in a post-surgical haze, Josh has always thought of Hazel more as a spectacle than a peer. But now, ten years later, after a cheating girlfriend has turned his life upside down, going out with Hazel is a breath of fresh air.

Not that Josh and Hazel date. At least, not each other. Because setting each other up on progressively terrible double blind dates means there’s nothing between them...right? (Goodreads)

I am always super excited whenever it’s time to start a new book by Christina Lauren, and Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating sounded super cute. I couldn’t wait to start it! I have only read a few books by these authors so far, including Love and Other Words, Roomies, and the Wild Seasons series, and out of all those Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating is definitely my favorite so far!

Josh and Hazel are the two main characters in this story, (obviously), and we get to read the story from both of their perspectives. Hazel is fun and quirky, and you absolutely can’t help but love her. Josh is laid back and kind of quiet, and to be honest, absolutely adorable. They are seriously so cute, and I absolutely love them both!! But seriously, these are great characters, and I love that they are completely opposites of each other. They definitely made the book interesting! There are some pretty awesome secondary characters in the story as well.

The storyline for this book was super cute, and made for a really quick read. I loved experiencing the double dates along with Hazel and Josh, and they have quite a few doozies along the way. I totally laughed out loud more than a few times throughout the book, which doesn’t happen to me very often. I should also mention that there are quite a few steamy parts in the novel as well. *wink, wink*

Overall; As I mentioned above, Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating was super cute, and is definitely my most favorite read by Christina Lauren so far. Reading this book definitely makes me want to get caught up on the rest of their books that I haven’t read, and I’m now really looking forward to reading Dating You/Hating You, Autoboyography, and My Favorite Half-Night Stand, which is set to release this December! I can’t wait to devour these books. If you’re looking for a cute comtemporary read, do check out Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating!
