Friday Hops 7/22

Follow Friday! #23

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee. It's a great way to meet new blogger friends!

This weeks question is:
Q. Name 3 authors that you would love to sit down and spend an hour or a meal with just talking about either their books or get advice on writing from?
A. Three authors I would love to sit and chat with would probably be:
Kelley Armstrong, Lisa McMann and Cassandra Clare. I could go on and on, but these are the authors that really got me interested in reading YA books. :)

Book Blogger Hop #21

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Crazy-For-Books.com. It's a great way to meet new people and friends around the blogworld!

Q. What’s the ONE GENRE that you wish you could get into, but just can’t?

A. Hmmm... I would say... Non-fiction. Like Biographies and such. There are subjects that I would love to read about, but I have to admit, trying to read these books put me to sleep. :P

Thanks for stopping by everyone! Please leave a comment with your link so I can follow you back!

  3. I agree with you those would be fantastic authors to sit down with! AND I'm super happy to say that whatever was going on with my blogger account is fixed and I can finally comment on your blog again! No more reading without being able to leave you a note!

  6. Hi, hopping through. I answered Non-fiction also. I feel like I'm supposed to like to read non-f, but I just can't get past the feeling that it is homework.

    Have a great weekend!

  9. I don't like non-fiction either. I want to escape the world and I can't do that unless I'm reading fiction, even if it's contemporary.

Cassandra Clare was one of my choices too. :)

  14. Ahhh!! Everyone keeps saying genres that didn't even cross my mind when I answered. So true!!! Non-fiction usually doesn't interest me. I tend to skip around to the parts I need or I read the descriptions underneath the charts.

I just took out a bunch of non-fiction books on things like sewing and tattoos. I'll probably look at the pictures.

  19. Oh, I'm so with you on non-fiction. I don't even read my textbooks if I can help it so why would I chose to read non-fiction during my free time. I guess I should be more intellectual, but as a college student I'm more apt to allow that type of brain work to remain only for studying.

  20. I don't think I would want to read biographies and non-fiction books. I like escaping from reality too much to read real stuff.

Great author choices! Actually met Kelley Armstrong a few times at signings, not a sit-down and chat thing but still got to see her and hear her talk about stuff!

  33. Love your blog button and "Follow me" buttons...can you possibly link me to where I can get similar "Follow me" buttons? So I can have my Goodreads, Facebook and Twitter in one rather than getting a gadget/button for each?

Kelley Armstrong is also one of my fave authors, fell in love with her "Darkest Power" trilogy.
