Friday Hops 3/30

Follow Friday! #51

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read. It's a great way to meet new blogger friends!

Q: Do you read one book at a time or do you switch back and forth between two or more?

A. Lately, I've been really good at reading only one book at a time. Sometimes I will add in a second one if I'm on a time crunch, or if I'm bored with the first book. It gets confusing if I add more than that. :)

TGIF at GReads #18

TGIF at GReads is a Friday Feature hosted by Ginger at GReadsBooks.com!

Book Blogger Retreat: If you could gather up a handful of book blogger friends to spend a weekend away talking books, where would you go? Tell us about it.

Hmmmm.... If I got to pick the place, I would say any BEACH!  OK, I'm just saying that because I'm dying to get to the beach, and what better place to relax and talk about books than at the beach??

Thanks for stopping by everyone! Please leave a comment with your link so I can follow you back!

  1. I tend to only read one at a time so I can really focus on that book.

Also, the beach right now sounds like HEAVEN. We're in a colder snap of weather and I am totally dreaming of Pina Coladas and the beach.

  3. I try to stick to one book at a time too! And yeah, sometimes it can get confusing if you read more than one. :)

  4. Even on a time crush I have to rally and just finish one book. Any more than that and I'm done. I just get way too confused on details. I could totally understand getting bored with a book though. I've been known to put a book aside and just start a new one if I'm just not enjoying the first.

  9. I don't read more than one book at a time very often, either. I might put one on hold and read another one first, but most of the times.. one book only. :)

If a story has a complicated plot then I read it solely otherwise, I read multiple books. Here is my choice...

  17. If one book really draws me in then I'll find I'm incapable of reading more than one book at once, otherwise I often have a few books on the go and will pick up whatever tickles my fancy at any one time.

Yeah, you don't want to add more than 2 that's for sure. The more you read the more confusing it'll get.

  25. I usually only read one book at a time too, though I can usually do two as long as both books aren't review books. I get all confused if they both are and then have trouble writing the reviews. Hope you have a fabulous weekend Christy!

  26. I'm dying to get to the beach as well! It's a shame there aren't any nice ones in England. I'll have to keep saving for my holiday, I guess!

  27. Hi there!
I actually like reading several books at a time - which one always depends on my mood!

  29. I'm a one-book kinda girl myself. I get confused too if I start reading too many books as once.

And I totally agree with the beach! That's my favorite setting to read a good book, along with a nice cold drink. :)

  33. I generally stick with one book at a time, mostly because I read so fast. BUT I've been working my way through the fourth book in the Game of Thrones series, which is slow-going so I need breaks.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'm bad at reading one book at a time. I actually flip flop between two books reading 50-100 pages at a time. Then, I stay with one until the end and write my review.
