Follow Friday (7) / Book Blog Hop (6)

Follow Friday!  TGIF!!! Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee. It's a great way to meet new blogger friends!

This weeks question is:
Q. Inspired by the inane twitter trend of #100factsaboutme, give us five BOOK RELATED silly facts about you.
1. I am TOTALLY addicted to reading. :)

2. I've started collecting e-readers apparently. (I LOVE physical books, but I also love saving a tree too!) I still like books the best though.

3. I used to read general fiction books ALL the time.. Then I read The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, and fell in love with YA!!

4. I try to read while walking on the treadmill... it never turns out very well.

5.  Instead, I listen to audiobooks while I walk! :)~

Book Blogger Hop!!Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Crazy-For-Books.com. It's a great way to meet new people and friends around the blogworld!

Today's question is:
"If you could physically put yourself into a book or series…which one would it be and why?"

Hmmm... I'm 'going to say in The Mortal Instruments Series! Because it's my favorite series, and... come on.. Who wouldn't want to meet Jace?! LoL!

I also wanted to mention that made a Facebook account just for TheReaderBee. (I have Facebook, but it's kind of ackward talking to family and friends that are non-readers about books!) I made a regular account instead of a fan page, so that I could still communicate with friends. I would love to have some new Facebook Followers!

I've also joined NetworkedBlogs, and would appreciate any followers there too!  --------->

Wow, I'm asking a lot today! LOL

Thanks for stopping by everyone! Please leave a comment with your link so I can follow you back!

LOL! I tried to walk and read on the treadmill too and failed! Too much moving! Now I watch TV and read later.

  6. I haven't tried reading on the treadmill, but my friend does it all the time. She uses large type books, though I don't imagine many YA titles are being printed in large type.

  7. I really like the idea of audio books while on the treadmill. I might have to try that out I sure could use the workout.

  8. I haven't read the series but I will eventually. My husband read them and I just have to find the books. He tends to leave them in odd places.

My answer's a little selfish. Come see why. Happy blog hop.

  19. Hi Christy! New follower coming through the Crazy for Books blog hop, and wanted to say great pick for your series! I've heard a lot of cool things about the Mortal Instruments books, and it's steampunkish, which makes it all the better! I, too, have suffered the perils of trying to read on a treadmill and have found that it doesn't work ;-) lol

Anywho, hope you have a great weekend!

  21. Hi Christy! We share the same name just different spelling!

I never thought about the Mortal Instruments for my answer! That's a good one!

I used to listen to audiobooks on my way to work (75 miles one way-I live in the boonies) and it made the time fly by but I can't imagine it on my treadmill! I'd be wiping out big time, LOL! Be Careful, Girlie!

I'm glad I met you! Stop by and see me!

  29. Apologies in advance for my answer this week as it will not immediately resonate with the book blogger population which happens to be 99.5% female.

My choice is a book series geared towards guys which won’t enthrall the vast majority of my fellow book bloggers (who are almost entirely female) with the extensive discussion of powerful weapons and sexy milspec gear, beautiful women, eye-popping action sequences (with occasionally obscene violence), and the like.

But there IS something in my answer that just about everyone of the female persuasion can benefit from my decidedly “books for guys” post. Hop on over to http://www.howardsherman.net to find out what it is.

    Happy Hop Friday!
