Friday Hops 6/24

Follow Friday! #19

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee. It's a great way to meet new blogger friends!

This weeks question is:
Q. In light of the Summer Solstice. Also known as Midsummer...let's talk about fairies. What is your favorite fairy tale or story that revolves around the fae?
I would definitely have to say The Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa. I love the fairies and the fairie world she creates in her books!

Book Blogger Hop #17

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Crazy-For-Books.com. It's a great way to meet new people and friends around the blogworld!

Today's question is:
When did you realize reading was your passion and a truly important part of your life?”
.
When I was kid I used to read a lot. Then I discovered BOYS and became a teen, and I stopped reading. Now that my kids are older, I've gotten back into reading a lot, and I have discovered that it's my escape from reality. Something that I Really need sometimes. :)

Thanks for stopping by everyone! Please leave a comment with your link so I can follow you back!

While I like the Iron Fey series, as I'm not as crazy about it as a lot of people are, although I am looking forward to the Iron Knight. It has a beautiful cover.

  16. Hi again, Christy! Old follower Mimi here :)

I agree one-hundred percent! Julie Kagawa's Iron Fey series is definitely my favourite in the faery genre. Her books are just so amazing and completely different than any other faery series I've read.

Hope you have an awesome weekend!

  20. I discovered books instead of boys as a teen. Then I went to college and found a boy who loves books as much as I do.

I realized how important books had become in my life in 1999. Come see what happened.

  21. Hopping by from the Hop!
Reading started in childhood for me. I was a teenager too and discovered boys BUT I still found time to read haha. I did stop for a while because I hated being forced to read books I didn't want to in school. But now I'm back to reading again! :)

  27. I totally get the escape from reality thing! I stopped reading as much in high school (I still probably read more than my friends) and college and I remember getting back into it. Honestly, the urge to buy books never left me and I bought Twilight. So as cheesy as it sounds, Twilight rekindled my love of reading.
